I don't think any of our members would describe FUF as rigid. 95% of anything we do together is either pub-stomping or Clan Wars (which is pretty much pub-stomping too). No one is forced to play Clan Wars or to tryhard all the time. You can play however you'd like. Maybe the recruitment or the rules seem a little strict, but if you're an active, mature, and communicative person, you really don't have to do anything other than be yourself.
