The reason we wouldn't have opted for Platinum or Diamond is simply it was out of our class. Of course we only had a choice of opting in for Diamond. The matchmaking system placed us in Platinum. If we would have had a choice, we probably would have gone Gold, at least until we won or placed in that division.
