I hope not. The Ripper was one of the things IW did right considering it's a 2-in-1 weapon (you'd think it'd be tough to balance).

 

SMG mode has lowest range out of the SMG category by far, it has slower ADS time than all SMGs bar the Vepr and a slower sprint out time than half of the SMGs, and worse than usual SMG hipfire.

 

AR mode is slow but has poor range and damage compared with other 600ish rpm autos, and the recoil is moderate considering the range, damage and rate of fire (Honey Badger-esque circular pattern, hardest to control/compensate for at range). Only benefits are slightly tighter hipfire spread (same as stock ARX-160, worse than ARs with steady aim or SMGs without, and not really a benefit because who takes a 600rpm AR yo close and hipfires?), slightly quicker ADS time (halfway between AR with quickdraw and AR without), slightly quicker sprint out time (nerfed ready up) and run speed even in AR mode (not an actual benefit in gunfights).

 

It's basically two bad-average weapons glued together with agility and reflex. Idk about you, but I wouldn't make a class with overkill + reflex, nerf an ARX to 600rpm and equip it, then nerf a CBJ to give it slower mobility, worse range and a wider hipfire spread and equip that as a second primary, then equip nerfed versions of stalker and quickdraw for my ARX and call it overpowered as some do haha
