I believe that this could be more "proof" that the world in which we played is actually and alternate reality. When the air raid sirens go off and Maxis tells the children to go into the basement Eddie says "I wish the heroes from our stories were real." Samantha replies with something along the lines of "I know what you mean, but we will make everything okay. My dad says he has a plan." I wonder what this plan is. Perhaps Maxis actually was experimenting with 115 at the beginning of WWII and Samantha, himself, and Eddie were exposed to it taking them into an alternate reality.
